Florence Ayisi‘s films offer insight into unexpected features of everyday life of women in Africa. After obtaining her degree in English at the University of Yaoundé, she moved to the UK for postgraduate studies in film and television. Ayisi initiated and collaborated on the production of Sisters In Law, a feature-length documentary which won the Prix Art et Essai at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival.
