At once ordinary and mysterious, Fikret Atay‘s videos show aspects of everyday life in Batman, a small place near the Iraqi-Turkish border where he lives. He graduated from Dicle University’s Fine Arts Department. Recent stagings of Atay’s work include Tate Modern in London, De Appel in Amsterdam, and Galerie Chantal Crousel in Paris.
