Rahraw Omarzad works in photography, painting, performance and film. His photographs of children in Kabul are reminiscent of both Italian Neo-realism and films by Abbas Kiarostami. He is committed to healing the local art scene traumatised by recent armed conflicts. Omarzad initiated the country’s first art magazine and more recently the Centre for Contemporary Art Afghanistan.
